Where to find it

Publication controls are available from the work dashboard and draft pages. The public page becomes useful only after the work or chapters are published and visible.

Before you start

Make sure the text is ready enough for readers and required metadata is filled in.

Check age rating, warnings, visibility, comment access, download access, and review settings.

For chapter-based works, publish the chapters readers should see; unpublished chapters remain private.

Important details

A work can have a public status while individual chapters still need their own published state.

Visibility decides who may open the work; publication decides whether the prepared content is released.

Changing a work back to draft can remove it from public reading flows.

Moderation or rule checks may affect public availability if a work is reported or restricted.

If something does not work

The public page opens but no text is visible.

Check whether at least one chapter or text block is published.

Common questions

Can I unpublish a work?

Yes. Return it to draft mode from the work controls.

Will readers see unfinished drafts?

No. Drafts are visible only to the author and permitted collaborators.

Why is the public page unavailable?

It appears after publication and may depend on the work status.
